Kiran Bedi, the dynamite lady

I read Kiran Bedi’s I dare
Leaders like her are rare
I cannot explain you my despair
Because changing such corrupt system is difficult, I swear
Politicians just lurk
Worst is, they make sure even others can’t do their work

She reformed Delhi’s traffic
The changes were drastic
Even big shots had to follow the law
Public witnessed this in complete awe
The authorities were getting scared
They dint want her spared

She was posted to Tihar jail
The conditions there were frail
Sober people came in
Criminals and addicts were made in, that’s the biggest sin
Majority were in under trial
Our law makers or these people; who is more vile?

They were not treated as human
This destroyed their acumen
Humanity was minimal
She changed the staff’s working principle

Corruption now was not possible
Drugs, alcohol and smoke in jail, impossible
New attitude was being constructed
Education and hobbies in convicts were being inducted
Addicts were cured
Whole world was lured
Now the authorities were again insecure
Politicians couldn't endure
They would transfer her, it was assured

She was posted here and there
She did her work everywhere
She did her work right
Leader she was tight
As rare as we could find, our system she could fight

Let this whole generation be like her
What will they do when anyone they induct,
display her morals and conduct?
